That's true, in our project we also were hearing similar complains. Good news today, ADF 11g R1 provides User Customization per Duration of Session, and also its possible to configure persistence Across Sessions using MDS. The issue described in CR 6804999 can occur in the following Java SE and Java SE for Business releases for Windows, Solaris, and Linux: JDK and JRE 6 Update 12 and earlier; JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 17 and earlier; Note: SDK and JRE 1.4.2 and 1.3.1 are not affected by this issue. Have you tried increasing the heap size? This is the first thing you need to try to tune your environment, the issue will probably be fixed.
